Thunderbird Envelope Tray Icon Disapeared
Good morning everyone.
Since the last update two days ago i am missing the white envelope tray symbol which shows me i have a new mail.
There is only a tiny red dot on the Thunderbird icon in the tray bar that shows me i have a new message which is way to tiny for me on a 15 inch notebook. I whish me the white envelope back to see that i have emails.
Is this a bug or intentional? Can i bring it back via about:config?

The notification icon has changed from a white envelope to an envelope outline to the current version. It cannot be changed through any simple setting. A better option is to have the taskbar icon show notifications, in Preferences/General/Incoming Mails, App Icon Settings.

Hi. Thanks. I dont even have the outline envelope symbol. I only have to red dot on the thunderbird symbol as you see in my screenshot. I set this suggested setting now to show me the number of new messages. I got a few new mails now but an outlines envelope isnt there :(
The outline envelope was in TB 78 and earlier. The white envelope was in 60 and earlier, I think. It will probably be changed again in the next release next year.
I think you dont understand my problem. Last week my envelope was there. It disappears two days ago and i want it back. Something must have caused it.
The envelope was there in TB 78. If you were updated to TB 91, the envelope was replaced with the icon with the red dot.
My TB updates automatically. So i have always the latest version. I surely dont had made the jump from 78 to 91
Check the Update History in Preferences/General.
