Good upgrade, but irritating bug in Windows 7 taskbar new mail counter icon

Thunderbird 91.2 is great but it has one little bug that is persistent and irritating.

I like the new tiny red icon within my Windows 7 taskbar Thunderbird icon which shows me when I've got new mail and how many. But there is a problem with getting the icon to change after I read the emails.

I use a lot of mail filters, and some of them send emails to completely different folders. But even when I go to those folders and read the emails transferred to them, the little taskbar new mail bubble icon does not go away unless I *also* click on the *original* email account folder in which the message first arrived. So I end up having to constantly manually click on these folders to make the bubble icon go away.

It would be great if you could fix this bug in the next update.
