Firefox continues to periodically and randomly crash resulting in the "GAH" message and requiring either restoring session or tab. Have done much of the troubleshooting but tho' problem seemed to be resolved for a couple of weeks, it is now back. This is really starting to get annoying with need to restore pinned tabs, most visited, etc. Help?!

Went thru all troubleshooting steps with exception of starting Firefox in Safe Mode and found no issues. There were unsubmitted Crash Incidents which have now all been submitted... bp-34437bd9-d9c2-4a58-8251-007b20211012 10/12/2021, 12:33 PM View bp-aeb6a63e-a390-4a11-bb4a-f0d3e0211012 10/12/2021, 12:33 PM View bp-c8a27f9b-7bb4-4c82-8e3b-d60c70211012 10/12/2021, 12:33 PM View bp-8c60f9a2-7db4-4fcf-ada1-fe95a0211012 10/12/2021, 12:33 PM View bp-ad0ba209-ed64-4cf0-b54e-742300211012 10/12/2021, 12:33 PM View bp-6f9aab46-a4cd-4ef7-8756-1a0180211012 10/12/2021, 12:33 PM View bp-d01284df-0a02-4ae1-9dee-855120211012 10/12/2021, 12:33 PM View bp-aaaef208-26ae-4b52-86ce-6703c0211012 10/12/2021, 12:33 PM View bp-ad4f7ad6-5586-403d-870d-68c5f0211012 10/12/2021, 12:33 PM View bp-16241f0a-9301-4252-94e0-fde460211012 10/12/2021, 12:33 PM View bp-12eb0b16-1af0-460e-bebc-5e4c20211012 10/12/2021, 12:33 PM View bp-eb9137cd-5e7c-41cb-867f-089860211012 10/12/2021, 12:33 PM View bp-c1c9f19f-8521-4937-844d-f7df40211012 10/12/2021, 12:33 PM View bp-0a84d0da-8d57-45a1-ba72-835a80211006 10/6/2021, 6:44 PM View

Basically, an OOM (Out Of Memory) means the system is having issues with the RAM.

MemTest LAST UPDATED : 12/04/2020 Could you please run a tool from http://memtest.org/ in order to check the integrity of your RAM?

You will need a thumb or disk drive to install it on.

Do you let Windows handle the page file or did you set a fixed size ? Control Panel -> System -> Advanced -> Performance -> Settings

If you use a fixed size for the page file then try the former and let Windows handle the page file. How to determine the appropriate page file size for 64-bit versions of Windows {web link}

I ran MemTest after our last forum exchange and I got a green PASS, i.e., no issues identified. I also changed the configuration settings to allow Windows to handle the page file.

After doing this I did not have any GAH! messages or random occasional Firefox shutdowns and/or tab closures for a few weeks but they are now back but at random times. These Firefox/tab issues have only started within the past couple of months with no incidences prior?!

Please understand that I am somewhat computer literate but rely on people like yourself to fix issues.

Thank you for your continuing assistance.

I called for more help.

Thank you for persistence, Fred. Thinking about the OOM incident message, I checked into C:drive usage and I had ~20% available. Since greatest percentage of use was for Downloads, I did some cleaning and now have ~25% free space. Don't know if it will help but probably will not hurt.

Any luck with getting additional help? Powered up system today and opened Firefox. To my dismay, all my pinned tabs were gone?! Not sure if there is a way to restore tabs en masse but will be redoing them tab by tab. This is really getting annoying since I have performed all the recommended "fixes", using the term loosely. Thanks again.

I escalated this post. That is all I can do for you.
