Why all of a sudden do I get Capcha when I visit many web sites

Lately I've been getting a Capcha popup when I try to visit web sites. Sometimes I get this for several sites in a row. Frankly, this is very annoying. It makes me wonder if I really want to be using Firefox. If I'm going to be annoyed and question my browsing I might as well be using Chrome or Edge.

Is this due to an Add-On I have installed? Is it because I'm using a VPN? Or is it just Firefox trying (and succeeding in) alienating users? While I appreciate most of your efforts to keep me safe online it should be my choice as to whether I use a particular tool or not, so how do I opt out of this Capcha BS?

Hi

This is not so much a Firefox thing, but where websites are protected themselves against automated attacks and profile creation. The team behind that tool do have some lower friction options available, but that is down to websites to implement and is outside of our control or remit.
