Hello,

I have been a firefox user for maybe 15 years, but today is my last day if you do not tell me how I permanently disable automatic updates. I went through all settings, tinkered with console, etc, and you still crash all my tabs on a regular basis.

And, before the inevitable go to setting and disable suggestion:

There is no option to disable automatic updates.

You have to create a policy, see https://github.com/mozilla/policy-templates#manualappupdateonly

Thank you for trying to help. Still, I have seen some stupid things in my time on the internet but forcing firefox updates has to be among top3.

I think I am done, other users reported that even policies.json did not prevent auto updates.

It was good while it lasted.
