Block Website External Display and Other Hardware Detection
I rarely watch TV but the other day I was watching fubo.tv and activated airplay and fubo immediately deactivated and told me that my current config was not supported. Outside of how asinine fubo are for that particular restriction, it really creeped me out that websites have the ability to even know that. I would have thought firefox's privacy settings would not have allowed such snooping, particularly as I don't really see a good use case for it—the end user can assign windows to monitors already.
Regardless, I want to be able to prevent this, but I don't even know how such sites ascertain this information. A few minutes of online search didn't turn up much, there a bit too much noise around the search terms.
Any ideas on how this information is leaked and if there are any settings or extensions that safely spoof it to avoid breaking sites without revealing hardware info?
