import contacts from windows live mail 2012 on windows 10 pc
I am about ready to give up...unable to import contacts from my windows live 2012 on windows 10 PC. I have tried ever thing I can think of and find on youtube. Why is it so hard to do. I wish you can tell me a simple way to do this. I like Firefox and have been using it for a long time and would like to move my email to Thunderbird. I have too many contacts to do them one at a time. Please help me before I give up on moving to Thunderbird. Thanks

You might have tried everything, but I know exactly what you tell me. So perhaps you might say when you have done.
Most folks contacts in WLM are downloaded from their hotmail account online, so to back up just a bit, if you log into hotmail / outlook with a browser are you contacts shown there? this link should get you there https://outlook.live.com/people/0/
In which case we would be synchronizing contacts with outlook.com, not importing them. Using this addon https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/tbsync/
If however you have them in a ldif or CSV file and they are not on the web the process is much more complex usually
If your WLM contacts are a set of vCard .vcf files, merge them into a single file and then import to TB.
Tools/Import... address books... vCard file... select the merged vcf file.
