since my last update I have not been able to send or receive emails. When I go to my server everything is fine. I have gone through the troubleshooting. Everything is fine with my security program and I have deleted and re entered my password twice and it still doesn't work. I am not real savvy with computers however I have usually been able to find my way through stuff like this before. This is a first time with Thunderbird and I have had it for years and years. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you, Danny

What is the error message you are receiving? It is had to guess what your issue may be without at least some concrete information.

Other relevant information is; Your mail provider, issues are often related to the providers policies and processes. For instance ATT make their customers jump through hoops. Yahoo who provide ATT's email are not nearly as bed for access, but they have other comon issues like requiring certain web setting for a mail client to work. The authentication method your are using in the account settings and if you are using oauth are cookies disabled (often they are by third part software) Your security provider. Despite some opinions to the contrary, most issues connection to mail server have their home in those security packages. Especially if the stopping occurred immediately after an update. Some known issue are recorded here. https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird:Testing:Antivirus_Related_Performance_Issues

I must point out though that with software that is at time updated hourly (anti virus) that some issues are transitory and others simply never get listed on the wiki.

Hey Matt, Thanks for the reply. Per your suggestion I went to the link. By the way, my email is in fact yahoo through AT&T. Sorry about that I should have known that but till your message I didn't think about it. I started up in safe mode and got nothing except connection failed. Deleted password and tried again... nothing. My security program is Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Windows 10.3.3.275 Database release date 6/15/2021. I receive security through my service with Vision Computers with whom I have been with for several years. When I went to the link and found Kaspersky listed I clicked on it and got a 505 ERROR page. (the fun never stops!). In the meantime I want to thank you for your help to at least find out what it might not be. As you know that can be very good information to have. If you have any more suggestions I am ready willing and able to try anything you might think of. If not that is fine I just want to make sure you know I appreciate your efforts. Stay safe and well. All the best, Danny

You along with Matt were kind enough to not just slough me off and let me hang around hoping and checking for a reply. Thank you again for your help. your efforts are sincerely appreciated. Well done :-) All the best, Danny
