Issue paying Mozilla VPN from German payment services

I would like to get Mozilla VPN and I would like to pay for it. However, when trying to pay for it, both PayPal and Visa are getting rejected. The error message reads:

The currency of this subscription does not apply to the country associated with your payment.

So I guess it expects me to pay in USD while the payment services are trying to pay in EUR? I have already paid in USD with both PayPal and Visa, so I seem to be unable to understand what the problem could be here.

Any Help or trubleshooting idea appreciated.
