Firefox (linux) not rendering anything

The firefox installation on my desktop is not able to render anything.

Even the about:preferences window is not able to show anything both under my account and a new account I made. I even attempted to update to a new version of my distro (Pop OS) in an attempt to fix it.

My Firefox account is able to do a sync (shows up in the dropdown) so it does not have to do with proxies. Chromium also works fine.

I would rather not have to use Chromium so any help will be appreciated. I have tried running firefox in safe mode and doing a "Refresh".

Are you using Citrix software?

We have seen reports that this is a problem with the icaclient.

Hi

Please can you try with a copy of Firefox from https://www.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/all/#product-desktop-release

I think you may be using a distro version of Firefox - using a version from Mozilla will potentially fix the issue you are seeing.

That didn't help.

I do see the following on the console. ``` [Parent 21944, IPC I/O Parent] WARNING: FileDescriptorSet destroyed with unconsumed descriptors: file /builds/worker/checkouts/gecko/ipc/chromium/src/chrome/common/file_descriptor_set_posix.cc:19 [Parent 21944, IPC I/O Parent] WARNING: FileDescriptorSet destroyed with unconsumed descriptors: file /builds/worker/checkouts/gecko/ipc/chromium/src/chrome/common/file_descriptor_set_posix.cc:19 [Parent 21944, IPC I/O Parent] WARNING: FileDescriptorSet destroyed with unconsumed descriptors: file /builds/worker/checkouts/gecko/ipc/chromium/src/chrome/common/file_descriptor_set_posix.cc:19 [Parent 21944, IPC I/O Parent] WARNING: FileDescriptorSet destroyed with unconsumed descriptors: file /builds/worker/checkouts/gecko/ipc/chromium/src/chrome/common/file_descriptor_set_posix.cc:19 [Parent 21944, IPC I/O Parent] WARNING: FileDescriptorSet destroyed with unconsumed descriptors: file /builds/worker/checkouts/gecko/ipc/chromium/src/chrome/common/file_descriptor_set_posix.cc:19 [Parent 21944, IPC I/O Parent] WARNING: FileDescriptorSet destroyed with unconsumed descriptors: file /builds/worker/checkouts/gecko/ipc/chromium/src/chrome/common/file_descriptor_set_posix.cc:19 [Parent 21944, IPC I/O Parent] WARNING: FileDescriptorSet destroyed with unconsumed descriptors: file /builds/worker/checkouts/gecko/ipc/chromium/src/chrome/common/file_descriptor_set_posix.cc:19 terminate called after throwing an instance of '__gnu_cxx::recursive_init_error'
