I have been using Thunderbird on a new computer for a little while, and then I imported profiles from my previous computer. The result was that it seems to have overwritten the files on my new computer with all the old info, and newer messages and addresses don't show. How can I amalgamate both new and old so all my emails are in one place? (I have back-up copies)

Thanks Matt but what I am wanting to do is amalgamate both new and old emails as per my query.

There is no merge of profiles so I pointed you to the old option you have to import mails into your profile folder.

Funny how when you ask a question asking how to do that which can not be done the answer is not what you want.
