Firefox stops working occasionally

more options

this is a basic question however nugging me all the time. About 2 months ago I switched from using Chrome to Mozilla. However about once every 2 days my Mozilla freeze for about 20 sec and not responding. It is not about the amount of tabs/windows I am working on, it happens quite randomly. I do have gaming laptop with lots of CPU and RAM if you may ask. Is there any way to get rid of occasional crashing? Any IT hack much appreciated :)

hi, a possible solution could be the following: Uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Then restart your system.

Proceed to run Windows Disk Cleanup.

Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do :

Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles

Export Firefox bookmarks to an HTML file to back up or transfer bookmarks

Reinstall with the current Firefox release and see if this has fixed your issue.
