Password Changed yet cannot login with new password

I received a message of a break-in. I requested a change of password and received a link since I forgot the old one. Through the linkI created a new password. Yet, in the login screen when I enter the new password it does not recognize it and Enter the Password appear. Did this two three times but nothing happened. HELP!!!
