We have Firefox as the default browser on a new iPad--as it’s been for years on our Macs. Sadly for me, the pad interface is so different it's impossible to find About to see if a new update has been downloaded. Thanks...

Hey, there! To see the "About" section you can do the following:

Tap on the button with three lines (I believe on the iPad version it's on the top right) -> Tap "Settings" -> Then scroll down to the bottom.

An alternative way of seeing if you are up to date is to open the AppStore -> Tap on "Search" -> type in "Firefox" -> tap "Update". If the button next to the Firefox icon says "Open" instead of "Update" then you are already up to date!
