HTML document won't display

Hello, I tried to save a HTML file today for a video on Youtube and when I open the file, there is nothing beside the YT logo, nothing else comes up I have not found a solution on the internet either tbh. I will share the screenshot below.

Also the file type is : Firefox HTML Document (.htm)

I'd appreciate your help. Thanks.

Saving a Youtube's HTML webpage does not automatically save the video file.

You'll still need to stream the video content from Youtube with an active Internet connection.

If you really need the video in an offline setting, you'll have to look at third-party downloaders to save it.

I understand , but I don't want the video file to be exact, I just want to save the link on my PC as a HTML doc like for any other website.

And it's not just YT, I tried to save the HTML doc for other websites and when you open the HTML Doc they don't show up or it's incomplete, something is wrong with Firefox I'm already sure of that, I couldn't put my finger on it...

I tried it from MIcrosoft Edge and everything works fine when you open the file and the website...

Thanks, I'll try it.

But I think the problem is from Firefox, I found out that when I save the file using FF, the HTML document is saved in .HTM format and does not work when I open it, I tried to save the same page as HTML doc from Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge and they are saved as .HTML format and it works perfectly fine when I open those .HTML format files on Firefox..

Any ideas how to change the setting to save in .HTML ?

Both .htm and .html filename extensions refer to HTML files. You can manually change the extension .htm to .html during the Save Page As... prompt if you prefer; the contents of the saved page will still contain HTML code.

I also derived a workaround for your issue.

Download an add-on called User Agent String Switcher Once installed, click the add-on icon to open its control panel Click the first radio button (first from the top) that says Chrome Windows 10 Click Apply (Container) green button Open your Youtube video page (or refresh it if it's already opened), then try saving it as either a .htm or .html file

When you open the saved file, it should load like how it's saved from your Chrome browser.
