When I open a Microsoft forum or support web page, scroll up and down the page, the go back button on Firefox does not work. I have to press the button twice quickly to go back to the previous page.

Please try this link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/march-29-2021-kb5000842-os-builds-19041-906-and-19042-906-preview-1a58a276-6a0a-47a5-aa7d-97af2d10b16d

Block pop-up windows on Firefox is unchecked (disabled). I don't have any third party security program on my system. I use Windows Defender. No such issue on Chrome and Edge.

I can replicate in Nightly, but the same issue happens in Chrome. You should test in IE or Edge, but it looks like a MS issue.

He means clicking on a few of the links on the support page and then trying to go back.

It's working normally for me today. With just 1 click, I can go back to the previous pages on the support site. Let me try version 87.

It's still an issue for version 87. I have to double click to go back to the previous article. Working fine for me in Nightly version 89.

Hey s-malik,

Just for S&Gs, try Nightly and see if it works for you.

I have installed Firefox Nightly and the issue still exists. In Firefox 87.0 I have to press the button twice quickly to go back otherwise it will not work. In Nightly, I still have to press the button twice but don't need to press quickly or at once.

You can hold down the left mouse button on either Back/Forward button to open the Tab history list to see if there are multiple entries in the drop-down list.

After clicking on a few links on that MS support page on the left side, you have to double click the back arrow to go back. I just switched to Win 10 with FF 88 beta and I have to double click to go back to a previous article. But after clicking on a few of the other links the issue goes away and I can go back with just 1 click.
