When I have Thunderbird open on a screen below another, the top bar bleeds about 7mm into the screen above. On latest version 78.9.0, has been like this for a couple of version and I just hoped an update would rectify it.

If anyone has any suggestions on how I could fix, that'd be great.

Thanks,

Adam

Chosen solution

It looks like a lower edge of the Title Bar is displaying. Have you installed a program like 'WindowBlinds' ? If yes, then exclude Thunderbird.

Have you tried enabling and then disable the Title Bar in Thunderbird? Menu app icon > Customise > check 'Title Bar' and clickon Done, then repeat to uncheck ?

If still no joy please try: In Thunderbird

  • Help > Restart with addons disabled
  • Select checkbox : Reset toolbars and controls
  • select 'Make changes and restart'

You might try toggling the use hardware acceleration setting in options.

Hi Matt, have tried toggling that option - then closing and reopening. No luck, sorry!

Thanks Toad, the fix was to enable the Title Bar - which I didn't have enabled. Now that this bar is here, the program is respecting screen limits.

Much appreciated & thanks everyone for the help.

Adam.
