My email provider has asked me to change the SMTP settings. I have googled this for Thunderbird, but the processes that I am offered require a different sequence of items to click on from those offered in my Thunderbird 78.9 installation.

My provider asks me to set my port number to 465, and I need SSL/TLS enabled for Outgoing mail. I have been able to fix this for incoming mail.

Thank you,

Richard Schurmann

Thank you. That worked for me. My imagination had been not quite good enough to find my way there previously, but with the details provided, there was no problem. R.
