Caps lock switching on automatically when entering the password for logging in to my Android Firefox app
I tried to log in to my Android Firefox app today. But it wouldn't accept my password. I didn't want to request a new password since all my bookmarks and history would then be erased.
I spent an hour today trying to figure out what my password was. A big waste of time. It turned out that the password prompt for the Firefox app on Android automatically switches the caps lock key on. Hence my entering the wrong password. This is reproducible. Can you please fix this? Hi
Which keyboard app are you using on your Android device?
It happens with both the default LG Keyboard on my LG phone and with the default Samsung Keyboard on my Samsung phone.
Unless I turn off the capitalisation after it is automatically turned on when I am prompted for the password for Firefox for Android, it only tries to capitalise the first character in the password, and then it goes back to having the caps-lock off. I can type a period for the first character. This doesn't happen to some other apps that I tried.
Common error across variable platforms. Keep up with it, do not stress.
