Hi everyone. Tghunderbird is upgrading and won't let me open my emails now, it's asking about profiles (new old) I confess to be ignorant about the inner workings, once it is set up I just use it for basic emailing so have never understood all the settings or options. I'm going to reboot my pc in the hope it reverts back, if not I'll see you on the other side.

I have just for (I think) used Wondows restore for the first time succesfully, I'm 58 and have had pc's since my 20's, so Thunderbird is back to where it was, working, I'll avoid hitting any upgrade requests in future until I understand all my settings (unlikely)

You better accept any update for the operating system. Yes restore the Software and disable al adonis and extensions. You also can restore your operating system with a fresh start. If you have the right stuff for it.
