I had that problem the other day after installing a new program; completely wrecked Firefox. You can download and reinstall the VCRuntime files from Microsoft here:

I think that the "repair Button" is part of your computer system.
Let’s do a full clean re-install;

When i tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program it sometimes offered a "repair Button" i tried it once and it went into like a boot loop. it started going through and installing the Firefox Installer over and over. sometimes when i install it it will give me an error code saying a missing DLL file but i am not sure which one. ever time i uninstall it i remove the installer as well. Im trying o start from scratch but i am not familiar with where fire fox stores everything. as far as the version i am not sure. i have been just going to the Fire Fox site and clicking the little pop up that says "get the Latest fire fox browser" I hope that gives all the info you need. i cannot use fire fox to find my version exacly like i have before.

Some problems occur when your Internet security program was set
to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your
updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow
Firefox to connect to the Internet again;

Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).

Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs. For detailed instructions, see
