Hi there,

since my FF updated to 85.0 my Bookmarks Toolbar is now totally wrecked.

Here's what happened and happens:

Problem #1: Disappearing new bookmarks See screenshots 1-4 for that. 1a) If I drag & drop an open tab to the Bookmarks Toolbar, the bookmark is created and stays there for <1 second. It immediately is automatically removed from that toolbar and moved to Bookmarks Menu.

1b) If I change the bookmarks properties and set another place, e.g. the Bookmarks Toolbar, it will be added correctly to that place - so that works.

1c) If I reimport my bookmark backup, Firefox will not add the respective bookmarks back to the Bookmarks Toolbar, it stays empty. Under "Customize" I can still find the "Bookmark Toolbar Items" item placed on that Bookmarks Toolbar.

What would be the possible reason for that behaviour? Did FF 85.0 changed something regarding bookmark handling?

Problem #2: Duplicate "Bookmarks Toolbar" folders See screenshots 5-6 for that. Now I switched my FF language to English. That is when discovered that FF put my "Bookmarks Toolbar"-bookmarks into an extra folder called "Lesezeichen-Symbolleiste" (translated = Bookmarks Toolbar) inside my "Bookmark Menu" folder.

So either a migration happened or some underlying structure of the bookmark system changed and Firefox did not migrate the old to the new location for foreign languages?
