why won't Firefox clear cookies on exit on my tablet
I set the flag to clear everything on exit for both my pc as well as my tablet. When I quit everything on my pc, yup, everything is cleared.
Yet, on my tablet, I still have to manually clear all the internet tidbits from my browser,
Any suggestions?
Thx, SWD

Hi
Thank you for your question.
Do you have all the categories of data selected? Are you tapping the "exit" menu item to leave Firefox for Android?
What/where are you still seeing data?
On mine (U.S. English), the new menu item is labeled Quit and appears just below Settings on the menu.
I've read that Firefox for Android only clears data when you use the Quit command because apps can't reliably distinguish between a user swiping an application off the recent list and Android's automatic memory management, at least on some versions of Android. The developers wanted to avoid unintentional data loss so this extra step is required.
Thanks for the answer(s)...
On both platforms, I exit FireFox with the 'X' on the top menu bar - the 'X' on the far right side of the bar.
Thus my question about my tablet showing all sorts of cookies and such when I 'come back' to FireFox and check on things.
I'll try the quit button and see what that does... still, am pondering why quitting via the 'X' works on the PC but not on my tablet.
Thanks again, SWD
