Avoid sharing account data across windows users

more options

I recently found out that default option for firefox is to share data across windows users. I have my pc set up with an admin account and my family account and with their access to firefox (i didn't log in to firefox on their user) they can see all my passwords and usernames. Since I use lockwise to store my logins i really wish this didn't happen. How to avoid it?

Hi Edoardo, locally stored data is per Windows user profile, so they should not see your locally stored data. (Unless Windows has changed in some way I haven't noticed...) In fact, if you create a separate Firefox profile under your own Windows users, it won't have the saved logins from your regular profile.

To make sure there isn't any kind of sync or mirroring going on, if you make a visible change in your profile, like changing the Theme, does that appear in their profile, too?

Built-in themes in Firefox - alternative to complete themes

Before deleting saved logins from their Firefox, please triple-check that they are not connected to your Firefox account (the main menu will show "Sign in" instead of a username). Otherwise, that change may Sync over to your Firefox.

If you are talking about sync, sync is an option. Shut down sync from here.

Type about:accounts<enter> in the address bar.
