Setting up my email account error! - Office 365
Hi Guys,
Have just downloaded Thunderbird and have tried to set up my account, email address and password is correct but I keep getting this message.
"Configuration could not be veridied. If your username and passowrd are correct its likely that the server administrator has diasbled the selected configuration for your account. Try selecting another protocol"
I have recently downloaded eMclient email app and seemed to work fine on there.
Any help would be much appreciated.

re :the server administrator has disabled the selected configuration for your account. Try selecting another protocol Sounds like the server administrator has disabled POP and IMAP. If you can, ask the server administrator to enable pop, imap, smtp then you will have no problem.
Alternative option is to use an addon to get exchange. There are a couple of options. OWL https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/owl-for-exchange/ Allows you to use your Exchange email accounts that use Outlook Web Access (OWA) with Thunderbird. After setup, your account should appear in Thunderbird just like the other accounts. You can read and write emails with your Exchange account.

EXQUILLA https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-GB/thunderbird/addon/exquilla-exchange-web-services/ ExQuilla allows Thunderbird users to read messages and contacts on Microsoft Exchange Server version 2007 and later. It uses the EWS protocol and requires EWS to be enabled on your email server and domain.
ExQuilla is a paid addon and requires a paid license. Keeping ExQuilla working with future Thunderbird versions is a lot of work and ongoing.

re: eMclient email app and seemed to work fine on there. That's because eMclient provide exchange protocol, so it is likely you are connecting using that protocol. The eMclient is able to be downloaded from the Microsoft app store and Office365 is a Microsoft product.
