83.1.0 (Build #2015776403) AC: 63.0.9, fc54c566e GV: 83.0-20201112153044 AS: 63.0.0

Good afternoon,

I'm having an issue with the above version of Firefox (83.1.0), connecting via DDNS hostname to an Asus RT-AC56U router. (Hostname not displayed for security reasons).

This error* occurs on Android, Windows (x64) & Mac Ox (10.14.6/ Mojave).

  • See attached screenshots.

When following the instructions to disable tracking on the individual webpage, to enable adding an exception. Firefox adds the wrong URL as "https://android/" with no way to correct to the correct hostname.

This is a major issue, as this functionality is especially important as due to Covid-19 Restrictions a site visit to the client is not possible.

Pls note that rolling back to a previous version defeats the purpose logging this issue with self-signed certification.

Adding the option to manually add site exception should be considered as an urgent revision in conjunction with the requirements to approve changes via device pin/ biometric fingerprint.

I'd be more than happy to test any version with this restored functionality before a stable or ESR version is released.

Does the latest ESR (78.0.5) have an Android x64 version, if so pls can u provide a direct download link to the '.apk' file to test & provide feedback.

Thanks advance,

J
