unable to get in box
Up to 12/2/2020 I have used Thunderbird successfully for several years. Sometime between 12/2 and 12/3 Thunderbird stopped refreshing my inbox. It may have been coincidental with my being asked by Thunderbird to run a compact operation on my mail folders to save space. I allowed the compact operation to run and it seems since then I can't get mail. I'm running version 78.5.1. My email is a Roadrunner account.
I tried several things. In case the problem was not related to Thunderbird. I used Microsoft mail to read my emails and the latest emails were shown in the in box. I also installed Mailbird to see if it could read the in box and it also worked correctly. I uninstalled Thunderbird and then re-installed it but again it was unable to refresh the inbox.
There are no error messages displayed. The cursor becomes a circular busy icon if I touch the in box and remains that way until I end Thunderbird.
Any suggestions to correct the problem will be greatly appreciated.
