83.1.0 android upgrade all bookmarks missing
Upgraded on its own, now there are no bookmarks. I did not have any Firefox account, all locally saved bookmarks. How to recover lost bookmarks? Why did they go missing? Methods mentioned in support don't help. About:support will not go anywhere. There is no 'library' button. Don't see anyplace to revert to old profile. Trying to stay positive, but WTF?

If you open the Firefox for Android menu and select Bookmarks, are they listed there?
Were your bookmarks saved previously as "bookmarks" or were they saved as "Top Sites" on the home screen?
Prior to the update, did Firefox for Android look the same as it does now or was the design very different?
Was the update interrupted at any point?
As for whether it looks the same or not, it does appear to be different, but I can't say that I made a particular study of its former appearance. I was unaware of any update until I noticed the bookmarks missing, but I don't think it was interrupted. There was nothing earth-shattering lost, and I guess the lesson is not to rely on Firefox. Thanks for trying, but unless you know of a specific place to go to recover the bookmarks, I'm just going to call it a loss and move on.
I am sorry, I do not know what could have caused that to happen, and it is certainly not a systemic issue that I am hearing about from other users of Firefox for Android.
