Hi. After I upgraded Thunderbird, I cannot start it anymore. The window opens, and then it just tries to start but does not succeed. I have tried restarting the computer, reinstalling Thunderbird, nothing works, it is completely stuck. To quit, I have to force quit. It says "application not responding". Needless to say, no menu works, nothing.

It is on a Mac, with Catalina 10.15.7.

It has happened in the past that when I clicked on the icon, it would not bring the window in front. But it was not a permanent problem.

So, I am now using Mail, which I absolutely hate.

I copy below part of the error message I sent to Apple. (There is more, I don't know if it is useful).

Any help will be welcome. Thank you in advance, Zoe C.

I managed to imperfectly solve the problem, by deleting all files connected to Tbird, and reinstalling. But I lost all my settings and preferences (unfortunately, I was not able to use the copy of my old profile). I am relieved, nevertheless. Zoe C.
