I can't navigate to local HTTP servers using [hostname].lan, but Firefox Desktop can.

I'm running a few HTTP servers at home. I'm running an OpenWrt router which allocates an IP address to these servers.

I can connect to them on Firefox Desktop by navigating to: [hostname].lan.

For instance:

http://httpserver.lan

On Firefox for Android, I cannot, I get a 404. I can only navigate to this HTTP server by entering the IP directly: http://192.168.1.120.

I have the feeling that this has something to do with internal DNS resolving.

I would like to be able to connect to these servers by entering: http://httpserver.lan.
