Thunderbird and Popstate files

I'm using Thunderbird 78.4.0 and Windows 10 version 2004. I have Norton Security 360 installed. I currently have 21 popstate-xx.dat entries in Thunderbird in the All Folders list. I just mind that they are displayed, not that they exist. Can the display in the All Folders list be suppressed? I added the Thunderbird Profiles folder as a Norton exclusion. I rebooted my PC and the popstate.xx entries still exist in the All Folders list. Can I delete the 21 popstate-xx.dat and popstate-xx.dat.msf folders in the Mail folder I have without creating a Mail catastrophe? Thanks, Larry
