Hi, I use Firefox and Google as my default search engine on Windows 8.1 Each das when I start my browser the search engine in it is Yahoo; however when I go into the settings Google is my deafault which I like to use. When I start in safe mode I am back on google however it is frustrating that I have to restart my browser each day. Could anyone advise please what options would I have to have Google remaining? Many thanks!

Type about:addons<enter> in the address bar to open your Add-ons Manager. Hot key; (<Control> [Mac=<Command>] <Shift> A)

In the Add-ons Manager, on the left, select Extensions. Remove “ Yahoo “ Anything.

Also remove SafeSearch, SearchAssist Incognito, FileConverter Addon, SearchLock, DiscreteSearch, WebSearch, Findwide Search Engine, securedsearch

Now do the same in the computer’s Programs Folder.

Windows: Start > Control Panel > Uninstall Programs. Mac: Open the Applications folder. Linux: Check your user manual.
