I would like to store 'just the local email folders' not the entire profile on a separate drive on my PC. I still want them to appear inside of TB.

Can I move just the local email folders? If so, how?

Thanks in advance for such a newbie question...

Thanks. I had read that but it looked like the article referred mainly to moving the entire profile. Is the article saying that I can change the path to just the local folders and still have them appear in the TB client as usual?

I'm being super careful because I don't want to screw things up.

No, the article refers only to moving the mail storage location. It's also possible to move the entire profile to another location.

Back up the profile folder before making any major changes.

So, as I understand it now, I cannot separate local folder storage from the folders from the IMAP server. Correct?

Thanks for sticking with me on this. I'm just being so very cautious...

The article explains how to copy the account subfolders from both the Mail folder (POP accounts) and the ImapMail folder (IMAP accounts). This doesn't affect folders on the IMAP server - it just defines where TB stores the synced copy on the local computer.
