hi all, I downloaded the upgrade to Thunderbird 68.12 and since then the attachment icon shows but it is not accessible. I have to go online to my Yahoo account to read attachments. Any ideas? regards Bob

Chosen solution

Can you add a screenshot with that area where the attachment is so we can see the file type and also it's size?

If TB report size 0 then this might help (from another post on this forum): IF MAC: Thunderbird > Preferences > Advanced > General IF Linux: Edit > Preferences > Advanced > General IF Windows : Menu icon > Options > Options > Advanced > General

click on 'Config. editor' type in search: mime Look for this line: 'mail.server.default.mime_parts_on_demand' If value is True: double click on that line to toggle the value from True to false. close Preferences restart TB. To force a re-download of a message, open the Message Source (Ctrl+U).
