The "What's New" box is self condemnatory. WHY is this on here without CHOICE? Are we becoming Microsofty? EVERY function on Firefox should have a No Thank You, Off, Uninstall or WHATEVER! Google has perverted its search page with Suggested Searches one can NOT GET RID OF! Spoiler Alert: I KNOW what I want and how to shop for it! I'm not Trendy, I'm not Tech is God believer, just simple.. User Friendly. I have a Computer and web access FOR MY CONVENIENCE! C'mon Mozzilla..You're supposed to be part of the Solution!

You can set browser.messaging-system.whatsNewPanel.enabled = false on the about:config page to disable this feature.

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I accept the risk!" to continue.

The What's New toolbar button stays until you open this panel and then you shouldn't see it until the next update. If necessary you can look at What's New info via the "3-bar" Firefox menu button drop-down list.

Hello? Mozilla!! Maybe I'm not holding my mouth correctly. Yes, I did that and it took it off. But,.... IT'S TOO MUCH TO HAVE TO DO! ALL add-ons, extensions or whatever...NEED a YES-NO or ON-OFF widget!!! REQUIRE IT!
