Your Last Update was a MESS! I never consented to automatic updates however, when my computer crashed because my power cord came out, I returned to my compute to an update screen. Who asked you? I would prefer to control my own updates. Needless to say, my regEdit had been 'messed with and all my shortcuts were removed. You may be well-meaning by I find your tactics despicable.

You used to be a thoughtful company but i guess the good ones can't maintain thine own integrity when folx like Google shows up and slams everybody against the wall with their snooping! I've been using your browser for a very long time because I thought you were more considerate than the likes of Microsoft and Chrome. Capitalism has 'eff'ed everybody up I guess; why should you be any different. PLEASE don't change my settings UNLESS I ASK YOU TO. I am not stupid and don't need you to make choices for me.

Make sure your system is okay. Perform a System File Check to fix corrupted system files

How do you completely turn off update checks in Firefox v64? You can use a policies.json file to disable updates for all users. https://github.com/mozilla/policy-templates/blob/master/README.md or https://winaero.com/blog/disable-updates-firefox-63-above/

You can use a policies.json file in the distribution folder in the Firefox installation folder instead as also listed in the article, so no need to use GPO keys in the Windows Registry. • https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/customizing-firefox-using-policiesjson
