New update eliminates bookmark icons

Hi, I'm on an Android os and my Mozilla app recently suffered an update. In the prior version, when the URL field was tapped, a small list of frequently visited sites (or bookmarked ones), represented with little square icons, would pop up in the now-blank area between the menu bar and the keyboard as can be seen in the attached image.

I already tried adding the desired websites as actual bookmarks and I even tried putting them in all three default folders in case only one folder was tied to the "home screen" interface, to no avail.

Looked all through the settings, which have been severely simplified themselves, and found nothing but menu bar location and "light or dark" UI theme.

Looking forward to hearing back soon, and I hope this can get fixed asap if it's not my own mistake.
