Cannot send messages
I have completed each step in the "Cannot send messages" tutorial. Nothing helped. I am at the last step: "create a new support request."
Three images attached: --error message --SMTP server settings --Outgoing server settings
Other info requested: --Mail provider: bresnan.net --ISP: Spectrum.net --Antivirus sorftware: Norton 360 --Operating system: Windows 10 home, 10.0.18363 (Dell XPS 8900 x64-based PC) --Thunderbird version: 68.11.0 (32-bit)
I have internet access. I can send and receive email when logged into the Spectrum.net website. I can send email to my other account (gmail) using Thunderbird. My problem is not being able to send email using Thunderbird.
Please advise. THANK YOU!
Ed B.

Hey eboenisch,
I can imagine the frustration, sorry for that! Did the problem start after updating to Thunderbird 78? If yes, can you please try this:

Your SMTP settings seems to be wrong, as you don't have any authentication set. You almost certainly has to use the same username and password for outgoing mail as you use for your IMAP connection.
Thank you, Mesko, for the quick reply. I have had Thunderbird email for many years with the same current configuration. It was only about two weeks ago that I received the error message and have been unable to find what might have changed without my knowledge to create my problem (unable to send emails). I have even reinstalled the Thunderbird program.
I did change a few things based on what I understood from your note. Nothing worked.
Frustrated...
