Tab close on pressing back button

When I press back button in phone, while on a web page, browser takes me back to the new tab page.. I expect the tab with web page to be closed now..

But the tab is not closed.i have to click the tab number button bring all tabs and close the one I don't want.

Is this an issue?

Using the very latest firefox in android.
