When I open a new window, the display does not fill the screen. I have to adjust the font size every time to get the proper size that I can read.

Are you talking about the size of the window, or the size of the font?

The font and pictures, etc. in the display for many pages just doesnt fill up the page. I can adjust it to do so but the next time I go back to that web site it is back to like it was before. I have somewhat bad eyesight and cannot read the small font in those situations. And, by the way, I dont have this problem with other browsers that I have tried.

Note: Some software, like Advanced SystemCare with Surfing Protection, can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.

Type about:preferences#general<enter> in the address bar. Across from fonts and colors, press the Advanced button. On the bottom, turn on Allow Web Sites To Choose Their Own.

Thank you for all your help. I have tried the remedies you listed and I dont seem to get anything different. Guess it just works that way . I did try downloading regular Firefox and the same things seem to happen there so I guess it is how Mozilla does things.
