Only can download ff from google. Now it DEMANDS I "open in playstore app"

When I hit the "open in playstore app" button there's a bunch of flashes and nothing happens. How do I start fire fox?

Why must everything go through google?? Why can't fire fox be downloaded directly from mozilla??
