How do I stop the microphone icon appearing?

I have Rosetta Stone which I use through my browser. I run a 2 monitor system and have my rosetta stone on screen 2. The problem is that EVERY SINGLE TIME there is an exercise for me to speak, the microphone icon appears on screen 1. It is massively annoying and distracting that this happens every single time the microphone is being used. I know the microphone is being used so its not a useful security feature when running a language learning tool. How can I easily stop this displaying every damn time the microphone is used by the software? Learning a language is difficult enough without some stupid annoying bug adding to the distractions.
