Draft folder message count = 1 too many

I have been using Thunderbird for about 3 weeks now. Sometime in the last week, as I was composing/saving/sending in the usual way, the Draft folder counter started adding 1 to the total number of drafts in there. So now, when I can go to the folder itself and see it is actually empty, the counter is still telling me something is in there. The problem is not earth-shattering, but a) it is annoying and b) I am worried that it might signify some wider problem now or later.

Chosen solution

right click the folder, select properties and then repair..
