Hi! I've switched to Firefox quite recently and I love pretty much everything about the browser. The only problem I've been experiencing is that whenever I try to print a page the whole browser crashes. I've tried removing all the settings for printing in prefs.js but that didn't seem to help in any way and the crashes don't turn up in the about:crashes tab. Has anyone else been experiencing this and perhaps knows how to fix it?

We're sorry to hear that Firefox is crashing. In order to assist you better, please follow the steps below to provide us crash IDs to help us learn more about your crash.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

  1. Enter about:crashes in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A list of Submitted/Unsubmitted Crash Reports will appear, similar to the one shown below.
  2. Copy the 5 most recent Submitted Report IDs that start with bp- and then go back to your forum question and paste those IDs into the "Post a Reply" box.

Note: If a recent Report ID does not start with bp- click on it to submit the report.

(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)

Thanks so much for a quick reply! I've just checked that page again and it would appear as there aren't any crashes showing up in there, which is quite weird taking into account that every time I try to print the window freezes and after a few seconds Windows says it's not responding and "tries to resolve the problem" without any success for some time.

I hence attach a screenshot of the crash-page for reference.

Re-install your printer software from the home website.

Though the problem seems to not apply for any other programs on my computer (checked a few just now, for instance Excel, Word and Adobe Acrobat) than Firefox, so I don't think that's the problem. Also, I have quite a few printers installed on my computer, so it would take some time reinstalling them all.

F.Y.I I use Bitdefender as my anti-virus, and as it has blocked some software from functioning correctly via firewall and anti-malware, it possibly could be causing this error.

As a test, disable Bitdefender.

Start your Computer in safe mode with network support. Then start Firefox.
Try Secure websites. Is the problem still there?

So I've tried the following solution and it doesn't crash when prompting the printer window in safe mode, but it prompted a configuration window as it didn't seem to have any printers installed in safe mode. I've also tried printing in normally booted Windows but with all components of Bitdefender turnt off, and it still didn't work.

I have some "Follow me"-printers as well as some networks printers installed which I'm not connected to at the moment, so maybe this could be a part of the problem? But then why does it work with other Windows programs.
