Hello, I keep getting these weird download prompts via my IDM and it only happens when I use firefox and not anyother browsers. The URL is like this: https://www.google.com/_/VisualFrontendUi/browserinfo?f.sid=-1228080432895459100&bl=boq_visualfrontendserver_20200621.22_p0&hl=en-US&soc-app=162&soc-platform=1&soc-device=1&authuser&_reqid=76453&rt=j

And unfortunately whenever I open google or search something on google this link keeps popping up and asking me to download a "response.bin" file. And as I am typing this, It keeps popping up as well and not restricted to google only I guess, but only restricted to Firefox because I checked. I really need help and thank you all in advance.

Hi Arian, I don't know how IDM works. Does it intercept any file coming to the page, or can you filter that in some way to ignore certain files? If the settings aren't obvious, I suggest contacting IDM support or disabling IDM except when you specifically need to use it for something.

Thanks for the reply and I have checked while my IDM was disabled but the links still gets intercepted by IDM and it reopens as soon as I open a google related website and after opening my email to check your kind reply the URL changes to a "google hangouts" link apparently I can't post links in the forum? so the full link is in the pic I attached. And the link still wants to download a "response" file.

As for your suggestion, I have blocked .bin files from my IDM and checked the "don't capture downloads from web-players automatically" and it has stopped so thank you so much

But there is my concern of what others effects that option has. Because I wanna know the reason of those sudden captures which were not happening a couple of days ago, and I have checked with my windows security for viruses and malwares and there was nothing found.

Hi Arian, presumably -- admittedly, I'm just guessing -- that file was sent in response to a background request from a page or serviceworker or add-on running in one of your browsers.

Does IDM work by having an add-on send a file to an external program, or does IDM work by intercepting all your browsing and grabbing certain files? Sorry I'm not more familiar with it.
