Remove Android Icon from Address Bar
Hi! I'm looking for a way to remove the Android helper icon from the Firefox address bar (it lets me know the URL I have accessed can be opened in another app). I don't need it. I haven't found anything in the settings or anything obvious in about:config. The search functions here didn't return anything on this topic either - can anyone point me in the right direction?

Hi aseriesofdarkcaves, please ignore the unofficial support solicitation that someone posted. We have no idea where that leads and don't want you to get scammed.
Anyone have any ideas?
Well, this app isn't being developed anymore. Try to install a new version. Haven't seen there this icon.

Hi Seburo, unfortunately there has been no answer yet that solves the issue of removing the icon in Firefox Android, so I can't mark any post as solving the issue.
Hi
We will not be able to remove that icon, but I do recomend that you try the new Firefox Preview that I understand handle this issue differently.
I figured it out. go to your settings in your browser. Click on 'search'. You will see an option to turn off different browser features like suggesting urls etc.
