No access to about:config page in Firefox Preview

more options

Hello! I cannot access the about:config page in Firefox Preview stable branch. This problem is occurring only in the specified version. I've tried the Nightly and even the beta from the original Firefox channel, and the page is accessible from there without any problems. The link of the page changes into this: resource://android/assets/low_and_medium_risk_error_pages.html?&title=Cannot%20Complete%20Request&button=Try%20Again&description=%3Cp%3EAdditional%20information%20about%20this%20problem%20or%20error%20is%20currently%20unavailable.%3C/p%3E&image=&showSSL=false&badCertAdvanced=Advanced%E2%80%A6&badCertTechInfo=%3Clabel%3ESomeone%20could%20be%20trying%20to%20impersonate%20the%20site%20and%20you%20should%20not%20continue.%3C/label%3E%20%3Cbr%3E%3Cbr%3E%20%3Clabel%3EWebsites%20prove%20their%20identity%20via%20certificates.%20Firefox%20Preview%20does%20not%20trust%20%3Cb%3Eabout:config%3C/b%3E%20because%20its%20certificate%20issuer%20is%20unknown,%20the%20certificate%20is%20self-signed,%20or%20the%20server%20is%20not%20sending%20the%20correct%20intermediate%20certificates.%3C/label%3E&badCertGoBack=Go%20Back%20(Recommended)&badCertAcceptTemporary=Accept%20the%20Risk%20and%20Continue Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Ahnaf

About:config is not available int he Beta version of Firefox Preview, but it is currently available in the Nightly version - available from the Google Play store. Please appreciate that this is a very early pre-Release version of a product that is still under development and may feature issues that have yet to be resolved and features that may change.

It seems like the image failed to upload with the original post, so I'll add it here. I'm using EMUI 9.1 on Honor Play for the record.

When was the last time you could load about:config on Preview? Although it is listed on the about:about page, I don't recall ever using it, so I don't know whether it used to work, may work in the future, or never worked.

Hmm... I don't remember clearly but I do think it worked just before the 5.0.0 update. I rarely access the page, usually when I do a new installation. I use it to enable some privacy settings from Privacytools.io . What's strange that it works in other versions, except the 'normal' Firefox Preview one, which I actually use!

Thank you so much for the reply! I completely understand that the beta version would have its quirks. I just found the issue weird that it was absent from only the beta version and not the other ones (nightly or Firefox beta etc) and wanted to report it. Glad to hear that it is already known. Thanks again for the clarification.
