Has the Firefox address bar swollen in Firefox v75.0?

Has the Firefox address bar suddenly got larger in the latest version of Firefox (v75.0)? It seems to swell up on occasions, and then clutters up and gets in the way of the icons on the toolbar. Does anyone know how to stop it?

go to about:config and change these:

browser.urlbar.openViewOnFocus

browser.urlbar.update1

browser.urlbar.update1.interventions

browser.urlbar.update1.searchTips

warning: these settings may become unavailable in a future update so I wouldn't count on them always being present to change the toolbar, you may have to tolerate it in a future update.

Thank you for your very prompt reply, Eve. But I have a number of further questions - 1. I presume you mean "change the settings to 'False@ "? 2. You didn't say how to change those settings. I may have worked it out, but there does not seem to be a "save" button. 3. Then when I exited and re-looked at those settings they no longer displayed "False", but showed buttons for "Boolean, Number, and String!" 4. I also continued searching and found this article: https://www.ghacks.net/2020/04/08/how-to-restore-the-old-firefox-address-bar/ That has a 5th item to change - "browser.urlbar.update1.view.stripHttps" I also found that field when I first looked at the ¨browser.urlbar.update1" field, but you don't mention it in your answer. Should it be changed? Regards
