Cleared private & history etc. But no effect. Is there a way to reinstall ff for android with restoring the profile?

Hi
I have an idea that will help.
Open the Android Settings app Select Applications Find Firefox Under Storage, clear the cache (do not clear data!)
When you restart your device, you should find that Firefox for Android is running much smoother.
Thanks for the reply, but that didn't reduce the seize at all; although it is running smoother. :-)
Great, glad to hear it.
Do you have many bookmarks stored?
Reduced it to 5, still no sign of reducing space :-(
Hi
Just to clarify, Firefox for Android is taking up 3GB of space on your Android device?
Yes, and still growing :-( I am just about to "retype" the logins in a spreadsheet and uninstall the FF app. In the past it was possible to export all of this with an add-on and later import it back. Doesn't see that option anymore and synchronising is not my intention.
Do you have a large number of downloaded files (or files that have a large file size)?
Al files, doc's and or pic's were already moved to sd- card....
Do those files still show in the Downloads in Firefox for Android?
No downloads visable. I wonder if (e.g.) facebook could have a hand in this as I use ff for use with a club account in facebook. It might keep track on a lot I figure and would explain accumulating data.
It could, especially if you are viewing large image and/or video files.
I don't just for keeping up contact. I will scan my logins and uninstall FF (from the tablet) and later on re-install it again to see what happens. Thanks for assisting so far.
No problem, glad I can help.
