Firefox is default browser, yet Duck Duck Go is on both search boxes as the browzer

Firefox is listed as my default browser. I am unable to remove Duck Duck Go from either search boxes. Going to options and subcategory general does not provide a list to pick and choose the default browser as it did the first time I used it. This is an amazon fire tablet, HD 8, I am trying to set up
